Matt Cleevely to deliver live EV demos and expert insight at Automechanika Birmingham

Matt Cleevely, founder of Cleevely EV, will bring his extensive knowledge to Automechanika Birmingham 2025, delivering a series of live demonstrations and participating in a panel discussion designed to help garage owners and technicians thrive in the expanding electric vehicle (EV) market.

Throughout the event, Matt will host hands-on demonstrations in the Workshop Hub, taking place on Tuesday, 3rd June (10:30 AM – 12:00 PM), Wednesday, 4th June (1:30 PM – 3:00 PM), and Thursday, 5th June (10:30 AM – 12:00 PM). Using a Nissan Leaf, he will walk attendees through key EV diagnostics, testing methods, and tools, addressing common challenges encountered in EV repairs. These practical sessions will offer garage owners and technicians actionable insights they can immediately apply in their own workshops.

“Automechanika Birmingham is a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry peers and share insights into the rapidly evolving automotive aftermarket,” said Matt Cleevely, Managing Director at Cleevely Group. “I’m excited to share my latest experiences to help garage owners and technicians navigate the challenges and opportunities surrounding EVs.”

On Wednesday, 4th June (10:30 AM – 11:30 AM), Matt will also join a panel of industry experts to discuss the future of electric vehicles in the automotive repair sector. He will share his experiences on how workshops can successfully adapt to the UK’s evolving car parc.

Since founding Cleevely EV in 2018, Matt has become a leading figure in the EV sector, offering sales, parts, servicing, and repairs. Cleevely Group’s latest initiative, Cleevely EV Mobile, has also garnered recognition for providing mobile EV servicing directly to customers’ homes or workplaces across the UK.

Matt’s commitment to supporting independent garages has established Cleevely Group as a trusted name in the industry. Cleevely Motors, in partnership with Cotswold Diagnostics, operates an IMI-approved training centre, providing a range of professional qualifications and is also home to the widely praised ‘At Ease With EV’ technician training.
