HELLA has officially launched its range of premium brakes into the UK aftermarket, marking a significant expansion for the brand after more than a decade of braking success across Europe.
Developed to meet the demands of busy workshops, the braking lineup goes well beyond pads and discs, positioning HELLA as a true one-stop braking solution. It additionally includes calipers, drums and shoes, master and wheel cylinders, and wear indicators, and is complemented by HELLA electronics such as brake-by-wire pedals and ABS sensors
“For the last decade I have seen the success that HELLA have had across Europe with our complete braking solution,” said Neil Grant, Managing Director at HELLA UK. “I am, therefore, delighted that we are finally able to bring the complete product portfolio to the UK Aftermarket. We know that with our proven quality and competitive price point, we will see early success with those who want to be first to market to offer something new and different.”
HELLA brake pads are engineered to OE standards, using over 200 friction material components. Constructed with powder-coated steel backplates and high-shear adhesive, they feature application-specific chamfers and noise grooves to ensure quiet, consistent braking. With over 40 test vehicles covering nearly 200,000 miles annually, HELLA’s pads are engineered for the safety, performance, and reliability workshops can trust.
“Each pad is developed to mirror the original specification, ensuring confident, consistent braking in all conditions,” explains Ian Mattacola, Braking Product Manager at HELLA. “We’ve taken OE design principles and applied them directly to the aftermarket, so workshops can fit with total confidence.”
Brake discs are also built to OE standards, using high carbon content for enhanced heat dissipation and reduced brake fade where required. A water-based coating protects against corrosion and removes the need for cleaning before fitment, saving time on installation. All discs carry ECE R90 approval, confirming their safety and integrity.
Matching the same commitment to quality, HELLA calipers are new units that are 100 per cent bench tested and ready to install, with no surcharge or core return required. Each unit includes essential mounting hardware, offering a fast, hassle-free solution for technicians.
With around 6,000-part numbers already available in the UK, HELLA will continue to expand its all-encompassing braking offer to in excess of 9,000 references, providing even more solutions to support UK workshops.
HELLA will be showcasing their new range of premium quality Braking products at Automechanika Birmingham from June 3-5 on stand Q80, near the Hall 19 entrance.
