Delphi Technologies, a brand of BorgWarner Inc, has been nominated for ‘Training Programme of the Year’ at the upcoming CAT Awards. The renowned industry event will take place on Thursday 9th February in the luxurious five-star surrounds of Manchester’s Lowry Hotel.
A total of ten awards will be made on the day, across a range of categories including Environmental, Rising Stars and Garage of the Year.
‘Training Programme of the Year’ is expected to prove a fiercely contested category. Judged by an expert panel, CAT will scrutinise value – defined as the greatest benefit versus the cost – and are seeking ‘innovative training methods and quality assessment’.
Delphi has created the market-leading ‘Delphi Technologies Academy’. This technical training experience blends online learning with ‘real-world and relatable’ practical content.
A growing e-learning suite has been tailormade for independent automotive technicians; custom content created by time-served technical experts is backed by OEM specifications and knowledge.
“Technicians access Delphi resources on a flexible basis, minimising disruption to their business,” said Luke Garratt, UK and Nordics Technical Services Manager at Delphi Technologies. “We’re delighted to have been recognised with this nomination.”
Delphi’s blended ethos is evident in its EV offering, where demand is booming. Technicians build a foundation of pre-learning in their own time, before two full days classroom and workshop training within the centre.
A state-of-the-art facility in Warwick houses both Delphi’s training centre and the aftermarket product engineering centre. There’s a full range of vehicles, test-rigs, workshop equipment, and example parts.
